Daily FrappeDaily Frappe
We started daily frappe on Easter weekend in 2005 by publishing a website and blog about the latest news and information happening in Greece. The idea was simply to give people living outside of Greece an easy way to connect with the people, places, and events back in the homeland. A few people read it, liked it, and encouraged us to continue. Daily Frappe is a community for the millions of people of Greek decent that are scattered by geography but united by heritage. Whether you are looking to build bridges to the past, or make connections to the future.
Daily Mail OnlineDaily Mail Online
'The Daily Mail' considers itself to be the voice of Middle England, speaking up for the "small-c" conservative values and against what it sees as a liberal establishment. It generally takes an anti-European, anti-immigration, anti-abortion (despite the "abortion hope" headline -see below), and is correspondingly pro-family, pro-tax cuts and pro-monarchy, as well as advocating stricter punishments for crime. The paper is generally critical of the BBC, which it perceives as being biased to the Left, but it is less unequivocally supportive of deregulation and commercial broadcasting than more downmarket papers such as The Sun, and supports a return to a somewhat nostalgic idea of what the BBC once was in a way that The Sun generally does not.
Drudge ReportDrudge Report
The Drudge Report is a popular, U.S.-based news website run by Matt Drudge. The site consists primarily of links to stories from the US and international mainstream media about politics, entertainment, and various current events, and to many popular columnists, although occasionally Drudge authors a story of his own. The Report originated around 1994 as a weekly subscriber-based email dispatch. Today, the Drudge Report resembles a simple weblog, though Drudge himself dislikes this classification. Since there is little or no commentary to the page, a more accurate description of the Drudge Report would be "portal" rather than blog. The Drudge Report is most famous for being the first entity to break news of the Monica Lewinsky scandal to the public.
